- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1-2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 3-4 cup chopped dates
- 1 cup uncooked rolled oats
- 3-4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add beaten eggs, chopped dates, uncooked rolled oats, and sugar. Then add cream and vanilla or almond extract. Bake in a well greased pan big enough to keep the batter thin. Have the oven moderately hot. When nearly cold cut in squares, but do not remove from the pan until cold.
